Almost everyone feels nervous before their test, even people who are great drivers. The goal is not to feel nothing, it is to keep your nerves small enough that they do not get in your way.
Before the test
- Take a few mock tests so the format feels familiar.
- Practise on the local test routes so the roads are not a surprise.
- Sleep well, eat something, and avoid too much caffeine.
On the day
Remember the examiner wants you to pass. They are not trying to trick you. If you make a small mistake, let it go and keep driving well, as one minor fault is not a fail.
How lessons help
We cover show me, tell me every lesson and run mock tests as you get close, so the real thing feels like just another drive. Confidence is built, not switched on, and that is exactly what we do.
