How many lessons will I need?

Everyone learns at a different pace, and there is no legal minimum number of lessons. As a rough guide, the DVSA says the average learner has around 45 hours of professional tuition alongside about 22 hours of private practice. If you pick things up quickly, or you have some off-road experience, you might be test-ready in around 20 to 30 hours; if you are nervous or want to take your time building confidence, it can be 60 to 80+ hours. We will find your level on the first lesson and give you an honest plan, with no pressure to over-book.

Should I learn manual or automatic?

Manual gives you a licence to drive any car and tends to suit people who want full control. Automatic is simpler to learn and often quicker to test-ready, which is great if you find gears stressful. We teach both and can help you decide.

Do you cover my area?

We cover Hounslow, Feltham, Bedfont, Hanworth, Hampton, Teddington, Twickenham, Osterley, Isleworth and Ashford. If you are nearby and not sure, just message us and ask.

What do I need to bring to my first lesson?

Just your provisional licence and any glasses or contact lenses you wear for driving. We bring the car and everything else, so you can simply turn up and start.

Yes. You can use our dual-control car for your practical test, and we will make sure you are familiar and comfortable with it beforehand.

How long are lessons?

Most lessons are an hour or two hours. Two-hour lessons tend to give faster progress because there is more time to practise, but we are flexible around what works for you.

Do I need to have passed my theory test first?

You can start practical lessons before passing your theory, and many learners do. You will need to pass your theory test before you can book your practical test, so it is worth getting it done early.
